About the festival
The 22nd Sanbuk Pumshil Festival has established itself as a representative festival of Yeoju for 22 years. The 22nd Sanbuk Pumshil Festival will be held under the sub-theme ''Sanbuk AI Kimjang Cultural Festival''. Kimjang is a food culture representing South Korea and a precious tradition where family and neighbors share warmth together. The kimjang culture, registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2013, embodies the spirit of community through making and sharing together. The Sanbuk AI Kimjang Cultural Festival inherits this traditional kimjang culture while incorporating technology, creating a new form of kimjang festival that anyone can easily and joyfully participate in. It is creating a special festival where fresh agricultural products produced in the region meet advanced technology, allowing participants to experience not only the joy of kimjang but also the value of local agriculture and the possibilities of future agriculture.
