About the festival
This year marks the 7th Yangpyeong Buchu Festival, which promotes the premium buchu from Yangdong-myeon in Yangpyeong-gun, the top buchu producing area in the country, as well as excellent local agricultural products. It is a community-led festival created together by local schools, farmers, and residents. In particular, the 2026 'Buchu多 Yangpyeong Buchu Festival' will be themed 'A festival with plenty of taste, joy, and happiness,' showcasing the finest Yangdong buchu and fresh agricultural products crafted by farmers, along with a variety of food and experience programs all in one place. The festival's signature dish, 'Buchu多 Buchu Gukbap,' along with buchu rice cakes, buchu noodles, and buchu makgeolli, offers a rich array of dishes that will delight visitors' palates. Additionally, there are hands-on experience programs such as buchu pot planting and buchu trimming, where participants can see, touch, and experience buchu directly, as well as various play programs for the whole family, making it an ideal family outing destination.
