About the festival
The '2026 National Heritage Media Art Cheongju Yongdusaji Cheoldanggan etc.' is a nighttime cultural event that expresses the historical value of Cheongju's cultural heritage (Yongdusaji Cheoldanggan, Mangseon Pavilion, Abgaksu, Chungcheongdobyeongmajeoldosayeong-Gate) through media art. The theme of the event is 'Treasures of Cheongju Unveiled by Light,' and it reinterprets the symbolic significance of the ancient geographical features of Cheongju's castle in a modern media art context, transforming the old downtown area into a grand stage for a voyage where visitors embark on a journey to discover the value (treasures) within Cheongju's millennium-old national heritage. The event features a media facade utilizing four cultural heritages, a three-dimensional sound tour, photo zones, and citizen participation content. It will be held for 22 days from October 3 to October 24, 2026, operating daily from 19:00 to 22:00.
