About the festival
The Dongducheon-si Book Culture Festival is a cultural festival where all citizens can enjoy and communicate together through books and reading. It features a special lecture with Dr. Lim Young-joo, diverse performances including a wind orchestra, the Dongducheon City Choir, and a magic bubble show, as well as various programs for the whole family such as the Children's Reading Golden Bell and a human book experience booth participated by local workshops. Additionally, the book market, organized in collaboration with local bookstores and publishers, allows visitors to meet various books in person and experience the joy of discovering new titles. It offers a special day where anyone from children to adults can comfortably participate and get closer to books by adding culture and experience to the joy of reading.
