About the festival

The 2026 Uiryeong Gigang Richi Flower Festival is a flower-themed festival held from September 24 (Thursday) to October 25 (Sunday), 2026, at Chinsu Park in Seongsan-ri, Jijeong-myeon, Uiryeong-gun, at 672 Beonji, in the Forest of Patriotic Volunteers. The opening ceremony will take place on September 27 (Sunday) from 2 PM to 3:30 PM at the Second Square, and the festival programs will run for a total of 10 days from September 24 to 27, October 3 to 5, and October 9 to 11. The festival aims to create a unique flower festival in Uiryeong by integrating the water-side and flower scenery of the Giganggwon area with the theme of 'the energy of wealth.' The scenic area will be developed over a total of 7.1 hectares, featuring plantings of Daepssa-ri, pampas grass, Pingkeumyul-ri, asters, gaura, and cosmos. Major programs include an opening performance and celebration concert, ecological exploration walking paths, flower photo zones, life photo booths, flower playgrounds, cultural performances, local food booths, and agricultural and specialty product sales booths. During the festival period, a shuttle bus (Bbangbbang Bus) will operate 8 times a day, circulating between Uiryeong-eup, Jeonggok-myeon, and the festival site, with the festival hosted by Uiryeong-gun and sponsored by the Uiryeong County Council.
