About the festival
The 2026 30th Ganggyeong Jeotgal Festival is a representative local festival held with the theme of Ganggyeong's history and culture, focusing on local specialties including jeotgal (fermented seafood). The event will take place over four days from October 15 to October 18, 2026, in the area of Geumgang Dunchi in Ganggyeong-eup, Nonsan-si. This year's theme is 'Ganggyeong Jeotgal and Sangwol Sweet Potato, Finally Becoming the Best!' and the festival will showcase various culinary, cultural, and experiential content centered around Ganggyeong jeotgal and Sangwol sweet potatoes. Major programs include the Global Ganggyeong Jeotgal Kimjang Festa, Ganggyeongpogujangteo, programs related to jeotgal and Sangwol sweet potatoes, performance and arts programs, experiential programs, and promotional and sales programs for local specialties. The festival aims to promote the taste and culture of Ganggyeong based on its historical resources and local specialties, providing tourists with various experiences and attractions.
