About the festival

The Busan Jagalchi Festival is a representative marine seafood cultural festival of Busan held every October at Jagalchi Market, the representative seafood market of South Korea. Starting with the traditional ritual event of Yongshinje to pray for a good catch, this year, visitors can also enjoy performances by folk groups through a parade. The festival opening ceremony features a spectacular maritime fireworks show that decorates the southern port, followed by congratulatory performances by popular singers, including Song Ga-in, the winner of Miss Trot. Additionally, there is a special area for the MZ generation and family visitors in the Jagalchi dried seafood Meokgeo-ri zone. Various interactive events, such as eel-catching and catching the golden fish, are prepared for visitors to participate in, and the festival's main event, making the world's largest bibimbap, will be shared for free with numerous citizens and visitors attending the site.
