About the festival
*The food content for the Hagi Festival is based on the previous year's (2025) festival details, and the 2026 festival content is currently being updated.* The Anseong Matchless Namsa-Hall Baudeogi Festival is a festival based on the Namsadangnori, designated as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. It inherits and develops the artistic spirit of Baudeogi, the first female master of Joseon, and the excitement and style of the Anseong Namsadang troupe, showcasing a variety of programs that everyone can enjoy, including traditional cultural experiences, domestic and international traditional art performances, and overseas folk performances, all set against the backdrop of the Anseong Yetjangteo, which recreates the rich scenes of one of the three major markets of the Joseon era. In particular, visitors can closely experience the essence of tightrope walking and Namsadangnori, and vividly experience the charm of Korean traditional culture through performances that blend tradition and modernity. The Anseong Matchless Namsa-Hall Baudeogi Festival, where history, culture, performances, and tourism come together, is establishing itself as a cultural tourism festival enjoyed by both domestic and international tourists, and is evolving into a traditional cultural festival representing South Korea.
