About the festival
*The food content for the Hagi Festival is based on the previous year's (2025) festival details, and the 2026 festival details are currently being updated.* The Jeongseon Arirang Festival is a representative cultural tourism festival of Jeongseon-gun, held to inherit and develop the history, cultural value, and traditions of Jeongseon Arirang, the representative sound of South Korea. It aims to widely promote the value of Arirang, which is registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, and operates as a festival where all generations can enjoy various content such as performances, parades, experience programs, exhibitions, and cultural arts events that harmonize tradition and modernity. Additionally, it aims to be a community-participatory festival where local residents directly plan and operate, contributing to the revitalization of the local economy and attracting tourists through programs linked to local cultural and tourism resources. Based on the cultural value of Arirang and Jeongseon's unique traditions, it seeks to establish itself as a representative Arirang cultural festival of South Korea and develop into a global cultural tourism festival that resonates with people around the world.
