About the festival
The Jeongseon Arirang Festival is a representative cultural tourism festival of Jeongseon-gun held to inherit the history, cultural value, and traditions of Jeongseon Arirang, which is the representative sound of South Korea.·It aims to widely promote the value of Arirang, which is registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, through various content such as performances, parades, experience programs, exhibitions, and cultural arts events that harmonize tradition and modernity, allowing all generations to enjoy together. Additionally, it strives for a community participation festival where local residents directly plan and operate, contributing to the revitalization of the local economy and attracting tourists through programs linked to local cultural and tourism resources. Based on the cultural value of Arirang and Jeongseon's unique traditions, it aims to establish itself as a representative Arirang cultural festival of South Korea and develop into a global cultural tourism festival that resonates with people around the world.
