About the festival
This is a Paleolithic experience festival held at the Yeoncheon Jeongokri site, where the first humans on the Korean Peninsula lived. The Yeoncheon Jeongokri site is a world-renowned site where evidence of very intelligent Paleolithic people living in Korea 300,000 years ago was discovered, including a hand axe. Every year, prehistoric cultural experiences from around the world gather at Yeoncheon Jeongokri to open a venue for primitive experiences and invite modern people. Based on the historical value of the Yeoncheon Jeongokri site, the festival signifies the harmony of culture and the public, the development of regional branding, and the active utilization of the site for preservation.
