About the festival
The Ulsan Soeburi Festival is the only iron culture festival in Korea where you can experience the industrial history and traditional iron-making culture of Ulsan. The backdrop of the festival, Dalcheon Ironworks, dates back to the Proto-Three Kingdoms period.·From ancient times to the present, this site has been our country's first iron production area, producing high-quality iron for two thousand years. The iron from Dalcheon Iron Mine has been a crucial foundation for Ul-san's growth into a global industrial city today and is also the root of Ul-san's history and identity. The Ul-san Iron Festival is designed to allow citizens and tourists to enjoy this iron history and culture through a variety of programs, including traditional iron-making technology reenactments, performances, exhibitions, and experiences. At this site, where the iron culture of the past continues as today's festival, you can vividly experience the most authentic stories of Ul-san.
