About the festival
The 2026 Mokpo Port Festival will be held for three days from October 16 to 18 at Mokpo Port and Samhak-do. The 'Traditional Market' vividly recreates the joy of a full catch and lively seafood auctions, along with modern shops in Seonchanggeo-ri.·Street·Centered around the 'Modern Market' where you can experience the lifestyle culture, you can enjoy the history and culture of Mokpo Port as if on a time travel. Content unique to Mokpo, such as 'Market, Full Catch!' which depicts the arrival of Angangmang fishing boats, an exciting market auction show, retro Seonchanggeo-ri, and the fish market Jeojatgeo-ri, will be spread throughout the festival venue. In addition, a gourmet program to taste Mokpo's seasonal seafood, citizen participation experiences for the whole family, and various performances will come together to provide a special experience that transforms the past port into today's festival.
