About the festival
This is the best cherry blossom spot where you can enjoy a drive and walk along the fully bloomed cherry blossom road by Gyeongpo Lake. During the day, there are fun performances and activities, and in the evening, the cherry blossom lights illuminating the entire Gyeongpo area create a spectacular view. Walking along the cherry blossom road, the beautiful scenery leading to Gyeongpo Beach captivates the eyes. Since its inception in 1993, the Gyeongpo Cherry Blossom Festival has attracted over 250,000 visitors each year, allowing everyone to enjoy spring in Gangneung together. The main event area will feature various experience programs, a cherry blossom song festival, a cherry blossom sports day, picnics, and play zones at Gyeongpo Wetland Square. There will also be an event called 'Catch the Cherry Blossom Thief!' where you can enjoy every corner of Gyeongpo with fun elements.
