About the festival
The representative spring herb 'Gomchwi' grown in the cool areas of Gangwon Province is celebrated every May at the Gomchwi Festival in the pristine Yanggu, the largest production area. Named after the herb that bears the meaning of being the favorite of bears waking from their winter hibernation, Gomchwi's fresh and vibrant flavor enhances the taste of spring days and is known to be effective for fatigue recovery, cancer prevention, blood circulation, cough, and asthma. At the pristine Yanggu Gomchwi Festival, visitors can create precious memories with the best taste and nutrition, various performance experiences, and events in a naturally blessed environment.
