About the festival
The Cheongsando Slow Walking Festival, held on Cheongsando Island in Wando County, Jeollanam-do, is a representative walking festival where participants can experience the value of slowness amidst beautiful nature. Cheongsando was designated as Asia's first Slow City in 2007, allowing visitors to leisurely walk through landscapes adorned with stone walls, canola flowers, and the blue sea, providing a healing experience. During the festival, various activities are offered, including a 42.195 km slow trail walk, moonlight night walks, diverse experience programs, and performances, creating special memories for visitors. Additionally, it is a healing tourism festival that allows guests to experience Wando's pristine nature and marine healing resources, making it very popular.
