How to dispose of it
- Check for photographic paper, waterproof coatings or plastic layers rather than treating every paper-like item as ordinary paper.
- Keep photographic paper and inseparable coated paper out of ordinary paper recycling and use the local general-waste route.
- Where plain paper and a plastic cover can be separated, sort the parts according to their own materials.
Before you put it out
- Drink cartons have a separate collection route; do not apply this coated-paper rule to them without checking the carton guidance.
- If appearance alone does not identify the material, check the product label or collection-point instructions.
