About the festival

*The content of the Hagi Festival is based on the previous year's (2025) festival, and the content for the 2026 festival is currently being updated.* This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Gangdong Prehistoric Culture Festival, the only festival in Seoul themed around the prehistoric era. It showcases the historical value of prehistoric sites while offering a variety of programs that allow participants to experience the lives of prehistoric people. This year, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the Amsa-dong site in Seoul, the theme is 'Breath of 6000 Years, Light of 100 Years, Echo of 30 Years', featuring four separate spaces based on the four elements: water, fire, earth, and wind. Each space will be filled with appropriate presentations, various exhibitions, experiences, nighttime programs, delicious food, and diverse performances, providing visitors with a unique enjoyment that transcends the past and present over the three days of the festival.
