About the festival
The Gunsan Time Travel Festival is a representative festival of Gunsan that preserves the history of the people's resistance and the intense life during the Japanese colonial period, set against the backdrop of modern Gunsan. This year, citizens and tourists will become the protagonists of the festival, participating directly in a richer array of programs. Highlights include the "Global Modern Flash Mob" created by citizens, the re-enactment of the cheers of "Uri Modu 3·5Manse" filling the streets, and the "Gunsanhang Bambudu Kongkureu" showcasing the talents and enthusiasm of the audience, along with the "1919 Taegeukgi Geyangjakjeon", "Daegyeol! Dokripseoneonseoreul Sasuhara", and "Dokripguni Doeeo Bosige", which provide engaging content to easily and enjoyably experience the history of modern Gunsan and the independence movement. Additionally, mission and experience programs such as "Siganyeohaengjaui Bimilyeogwon", "Moamoasigan", and "Batara! Misyeon Gongjungjeonhwa" will be available throughout the festival site, along with experiences in modern clothing, citizen-planned programs, a flea market, food, and performances. Through diverse content that blends memories across generations and new joys, everyone, regardless of age or gender, will naturally encounter the history and culture of Gunsan and enjoy their own special time travel experience at the festival.
