About the festival
Based on the spirit of the creation of Hangul, an excellent achievement of King Sejong, it has been held since 2013 and was renamed from 'Sejong Festival' to 'Sejong Hangul Festival' in 2025. The performance reinterprets the beauty and creativity of Hangul in a modern way.·Exhibition·The experience program operates as a festival that transcends generations and nationalities, allowing everyone to empathize and enjoy. It prepares a festival venue where the passion of artists, the smiles of citizens, and the excitement of tourists come together, showcasing various content where Hangul becomes art and play. Additionally, through festival programs that blend tradition and modernity, it is growing into a differentiated cultural tourism festival unique to Sejong-si, where the charm of Hangul and the spirit of Sejongdae-King can be experienced in a city park.
