About the festival
The Imsil N Cheese Festival is a representative cheese festival of South Korea that commemorates the historical background and spirit of challenge of Father Jijeong-hwan from Belgium, who started with two goats in 1967 and, after numerous trials and hardships, created the first cheese in South Korea. Through diverse experiences and tourism content themed around 'Imsil N Cheese', it offers special enjoyment to domestic and international visitors while enhancing the status as a leading cheese brand in South Korea. In particular, large-scale participatory experiences such as 'Stretch My Cheese', captivating exhibitions, exciting competitions, and gourmet programs that fill the mouth with happiness are operated in various ways, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the festive atmosphere. Furthermore, it is a cheese festival that holds deeper meaning and emotion as it is not just about welcoming tourists but is a co-prosperity festival created together by local residents with one heart.
