About the festival
*The content of the Hagi Festival is based on the previous year's (2025) festival, and the content for the 2026 festival is currently being updated.* The Imshil N Cheese Festival commemorates Father Jeong Hwan, who came to Imshil for missionary work in 1967, starting with two goats, and after numerous trials and hardships with the village youth, created the first cheese in South Korea. It has evolved into a representative cultural tourism festival of South Korea, enjoyed by the residents of Imshil and visitors every October at the Imshil Cheese Theme Park, aimed at revitalizing the local economy and developing the cheese industry.
