About the festival
The only festival in the country where you can taste fresh and cold beer produced on the same day at the Hite Jinro factory in Jeonju. The Jeonju Gamaek Festival, loved for its special charm of 'drinking beer made today today', is Jeonju's representative summer festival that expands the unique Gamaek culture of enjoying dried fish and beer together in small local shops into a festival. The diverse side dishes from Gamaek establishments recognized by local Jeonju residents, refreshing beer produced on the same day, and splendid performances that enhance the excitement of summer nights come together to fill the festival venue. The 2026 Jeonju Gamaek Festival, held for three days from August 6 to 8, revives Jeonju's unique 'Gamaek' culture in the form of a festival, allowing you to feel both the side dishes of the old alley and the heat of the festival site at the same time.
