About the festival
The Icheon Ginseng Festival, which started in 2015 to widely promote the premium ginseng grown in Icheon, the largest ginseng production area in the country, has changed its name to Icheon Ginseng Health Festival from 2025 to incorporate the theme of health with ginseng and to establish itself as the top ginseng health festival in the metropolitan area. The Icheon Ginseng Health Festival is a special festival where visitors can enjoy the autumn atmosphere while taking care of their health with ginseng, providing a chance for visitors to see and purchase the deep and rich aroma and excellent quality of Icheon ginseng. It offers participatory content for visitors through health experiences and play experiences using ginseng, such as ginseng tasting competitions, ginseng health kimchi experiences, and ginseng foot baths, where people of all ages can see, enjoy, and take care of their health with ginseng. Additionally, various stage performances by invited singers and events like ginseng auctions with visitors enhance the festival's excitement, making it one of Icheon's representative festivals where visitors can taste healthy foods made with fresh ginseng, such as ginseng fried dishes and ginseng makgeolli.
