About the festival

The 2026 Seoul Traditional Music Festival is an open festival held on the Han River, the heart of Seoul, where citizens can enjoy traditional music up close. The Han River, the stage of the festival, is a representative space of the city that is most connected to the daily lives of citizens and a venue for open culture that anyone can visit without hesitation. The diverse traditional music performances and citizen participation programs held here will inject new vitality into Seoul and provide a special cultural experience in everyday life. It is a place to meet trendy and new traditional music, transcending the boundaries of tradition and the present. From the stage of traditional music masters to participation areas where citizens come together, and sensory-awakening traditional experiences and one-day classes, a grand traditional music gathering enjoyed by all generations unfolds.
