About the festival
The world's largest non-standard media art festival, Seoul Light DDP 2026 Autumn, which will brightly illuminate the heart of Seoul, will be held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) from September 3 to 13 for 11 days. With the theme 'DAYBREAKER', it will showcase innovation and a spirit of challenge that breaks the darkness and opens new light through three festivals: autumn, winter, and countdown. The first chapter, Seoul Light DDP 2026 Autumn, will focus on the theme 'K-Original Light', illuminating the fundamental light that has shaped today's Korean culture. This event will particularly present a new stage for the first time at Seoul Light DDP through live performances and real-time interactive media art based on Nam June Paik's philosophy. Additionally, it will feature works by Yoo Young-guk and media art that modernly reinterpret Hangul, combined with performances of light, sound, and lasers, creating another beginning that will be remembered for the future of Seoul Light DDP.
