About the festival

Gyeongbok Palace Starlight Night Tour is a nighttime exploration program that explores the northern area of Gyeongbok Palace while experiencing royal cuisine and traditional culture. With professional guidance, participants move around the palace, examining the lifestyle of the royal family during the Joseon Dynasty and the historical stories related to Gyeongbok Palace. In the palace kitchen, known as Oesojubang, a special 12-course meal, modernly reinterpreted from the royal dining table of the Joseon Dynasty, can be experienced in a 'Dosuk' style. This year, a special changgeuk (traditional Korean opera) featuring stories of the king will be presented in Jibokjae, the study of King Gojong, providing a unique experience where the history of the space and the performance blend together. Following this, visitors can gaze at the starlight reflected in Hyangwonji, enjoying a different atmosphere in the tranquil scenery of Gyeongbok Palace, distinct from the daytime. The Gyeongbok Palace Starlight Night Tour, where the royal culinary culture and historical spaces of the Joseon Dynasty, beautiful night views, and traditional culture come together, offers a special and warm palace night experience.
