About the festival

The Seoul Circus Festival is organized by the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture and is the only festival in the country that specializes in the genre of circus. Held annually around Children's Day, this festival offers a unique opportunity to experience a variety of performances, from traditional circus acts that are usually hard to see to contemporary circus reinterpreted in modern ways. Dynamic performances that test the limits of human ability, such as aerial acrobatics, tightrope walking, juggling, and acrobatics, provide the audience with a thrilling sense of awe and emotion at the same time. Additionally, this festival goes beyond mere observation by offering experiential programs where citizens can learn basic circus skills, along with exhibitions and flea markets, enhancing the joy of the festival. Aiming to be an open festival that anyone can enjoy, it provides unforgettable memories for family visitors and a new creative space for artists, making it a representative spring festival of Seoul.
