About the festival

The 8th Geumcheon Science Festival "2026 G-Science Festival" is an event hosted and organized by Geumcheon District Office in Seoul. The slogan is 'A Vibrant Future Geumcheon Communicating with AI', and the event will be held from September 18 (Friday) to 19 (Saturday), 2026, daily from 10 AM to 5 PM at the district office plaza and Sunken Plaza, among other locations in Geumcheon District. The target audience is 9,000 youths and residents from both inside and outside the district. The program is organized across five areas: Water Splashing Rest Area, District Office Lobby, District Office Plaza, Sunken Plaza, and Daegang Hall. The Water Splashing Rest Area will feature an Alcraft mobile motion simulator and an escape bus from the Seoul Metropolitan Science Museum, while the District Office Lobby will have an AI piano auto-play and an AI fortune-telling experience booth. The District Office Plaza will include basic science experience booths, a robot dog (unitree go2 pro), 3D pen experience, balance dragonfly making, X2 humanoid robot, environment-related booths, meteorological agency experience, upcycling flower pot making, and a National Geographic experience booth. In Sunken Plaza, experiences such as digital tattoos, AI Othello, AI vs human typing competition, and distinguishing real paintings will take place, while Daegang Hall will host booths from award-winning companies at the 2026 CES, including Otion (smart thermometer) and Geowind (wind turbine), 4DX World Heritage content, AR smart glasses, and a Vibe Coding Contest (hackathon). Stage programs will include a science magic show, magic bubble show, science musical "Tomorrow Running with Science", youth busking performances, guerrilla events, and robot dance performances as part of the ceremony, along with a stamp tour event where participants can receive souvenirs by collecting five stamps.
