About the festival
Seongju-gun's representative autumn festival, the Seongjugayasan Hwanggeumdeulnyeok Mettugi Festival, is an eco-friendly rural experience festival led by the community, set against the backdrop of the pristine nature of Gaya-san and the Daegacheon River's golden fields. It features rural experience programs such as grasshopper catching, grasshopper observation, sweet potato digging, apple fishing, and catfish catching, along with a fall sports day that families can participate in, including games like popping rice cakes, kicking tops, group jumping rope, and rubber shoe archery for children to adults. Additionally, experience programs such as making rice cake sticks, stamping traditional rice cakes, stamp tours, capsule treasure hunts, golden field treasure hunts, Jeontongnolima-Hall, and a wooden playground will be held, along with performances like cotton candy shows, circus challenges, and Kida-ri balloon shows. The festival enhances enjoyment through various attractions and food offerings, including free tastings of livestock products, sales and promotions of local agricultural specialties, and the operation of restaurants and food trucks.
