About the festival
The 28th UN Peace Festival will be held for three days, from October 23 to 25, 2026, throughout Pyeonghwa Park in Nam-gu, Busan. With the slogan “Open Memories, Open Future,” the festival honors the sacrifices and dedication of UN member countries that participated in the Korean War and shares the value of peace with the community. Under the theme “Pieces Make Peace,” it will feature six themed zones: Memory, Participation, Performance, Connection, Healing Food, and Future, along with a variety of exhibitions, cultural performances, world culture experiences, and community participation programs. A highlight is the Peace Parade, bringing together people of different generations and nationalities to convey the meaning of harmony and communication and give everyone a chance to experience and appreciate the value of peace firsthand. This community-participation festival connects memories of the past with peace today, as people from diverse backgrounds come together to build a peaceful future.
