About the festival
The 6th Busan Comprehensive Folk Arts Festival is a traditional cultural festival hosted by Busan Metropolitan City, introducing Busan's intangible heritage and traditional folk culture through performances and experiences. The event will be held from October 24 to 25, 2026, at Dasom Square in Busansimin-Park, targeting Busan citizens and tourists. The main programs consist of the performance-centered Pungryuma-Hall, experience-centered Somssima-Hall, and participation program-centered Janchima-Hall. Pungryuma-Hall is a space that operates the opening ceremony, performances of Busan and Tasi-do's intangible heritage, performances from the transmission school, global performances, special performances, and citizen participation programs. Somssima-Hall is a space that offers experiences of functional and artistic intangible heritage, traditional culture creation experiences, traditional Meokgeo-ri experiences, and cultural heritage care experiences. Janchima-Hall is a space that operates traditional play experience zones, the Busan Intangible Heritage Art Fair, a traditional craft market linked to Hanbok Culture Week, stamp tours, wish writing, Hanbok rentals, and traditional Jangsin-gu experiences. The festival is designed to allow participants to engage with Busan's intangible heritage and traditional culture through performance viewing and participatory experiences.
