Gyeonggi-Yangju-Jijaksa Dronebot Festival

About the festival

The Gyeonggi–Yangju–Jijaksa Dronebot Festival is a public-private-military partnership festival co-hosted by Gyeonggi-do, Yangju-si, and the Army Ground Operations Command. It will be held for three days, from October 30 to November 1, 2026, at Ganap-ri Airfield in Gwangjeok-myeon, Yangju-si. The festival aims to develop a leading festival for the western region and promote balanced regional development by establishing a foundation for the drone industry, pursuant to the “Yangju Ordinance on the Promotion and Support of the Drone Industry” and the “Memorandum of Understanding for Public-Private-Military Cooperation and Shared Development at Ganap-ri Airfield.” With a total budget of KRW 61.2 billion, the event offers demonstrations of the Army’s dronebot combat system, an exhibition of U.S. Forces Korea combat equipment, displays by leading domestic and international drone and robotics companies, a dronebot competition, diverse military cultural performances, and hands-on programs for residents, showcasing advanced defense capabilities and the future of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
