About the festival
The 2026 Central Asia Spring Festival is a cultural exchange event held to inform citizens about the rich traditional cultures of the five Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan. This event will take place over two days, from May 16 to 17, 2026, at Seoul Plaza, offering a variety of programs. Within the event venue, there will be traditional art performances from each country, an experience of the traditional Central Asian dwelling called 'Yurt', and over 20 cultural experience booths. Visitors can directly experience exotic cultures in the city through tasting traditional foods from each country, making crafts, and trying on folk costumes. Additionally, in order to promote friendship between the Republic of Korea and Central Asia, relevant organizations and youth academy booths will be operated together to add educational value.
