About the festival

In the heart of Seoul, Hyochang Park, a place we are familiar with, transforms into a special nighttime cultural space where the memory of independence meets. The 2026 Yongsan National Heritage Night aims to connect various cultural contents such as nighttime scenery, performances, exhibitions, explanations, and experiences based on the history and symbolism of the eight independence patriots enshrined in Hyochang Park, allowing citizens to experience and enjoy the history of independence and the value of Hyochang Park up close. In particular, it seeks to reinterpret the unique historical and spatial characteristics of Hyochang Park into modern nighttime content, establishing differentiated nighttime cultural content unique to Yongsan-gu, creating a cultural space where residents and visitors can stay and enjoy history, culture, and leisure together, and developing it into a nighttime attraction representing Yongsan. This event is not a festival completed by a single organization or program, but aims to be a regionally cooperative national heritage night created together by local public institutions, veterans and historical organizations, cultural and artistic institutions, schools, universities, civic groups, and the community, each adding their own content and expertise.
