About the festival
The 18th Buan Gomsojeotgal & Wangsae Festival is a representative seafood festival of Buan, held with the theme of the rich marine resources and local specialties of Gomso Bay. It promotes the tradition and excellence of Gomsojeotgal and offers a variety of food and experience programs to enjoy the taste and flavor of seasonal Wangsae shrimp. At the festival site, visitors can meet local seafood, including Gomsojeotgal and Wangsae shrimp, and experience the taste and culture of Buan through the sale and tasting of jeotgal and seafood, as well as tourist participation programs. In particular, Gomsojeotgal is a traditional food that has been passed down for a long time based on the natural salt and environment of Gomso Bay, and it is characterized by the opportunity to meet various types of jeotgal in one place. Visitors can enjoy unique local foods along with seasonal seafood like Wangsae shrimp in the fall, making it a delightful experience for families, couples, and friends.
