Wonju Dumpling Festival

About the festival

If you want to fall head over heels for the charm of dumplings this fall, head to Wonju! The 2026 Wonju Dumpling Festival will take place from October 23 to 25 throughout the Wonju Stream area and the Munhwauigeo-ri area in Wonju. Held under the slogan “A Panful at the Market, Dumplings Full of Fun!”, this special autumn festival brings together delicious dumplings, the lively atmosphere of traditional markets, and a variety of performances and hands-on activities. There is plenty to enjoy, from the Global Dumpling Zone, where you can sample unusual dumplings from around the world, and the Wonju Dumpling Zone, to exciting participatory activities such as making dumplings as quickly as possible and stacking dumplings into the tallest tower. The festival atmosphere will be further energized by celebratory performances from popular singers, a live cooking show by Chef Jung Ji-sun, the “Queen of Dim Sum,” and a fireworks display on the Wonju Stream. Exploration programs around the traditional market, cultural and arts activities, and a flea market will also be offered. One delicious bite of a dumpling, a lively performance, and a wealth of special memories! This fall, come to Wonju with family, friends, or your partner and enjoy a dumpling-packed good time.
