About the festival
The Wanju Samnye Strawberry Festival is a regional representative festival held annually in Samnye-eup, Wanju-gun, Jeollabuk-do, linking local agricultural and specialty products. This festival is structured as an experiential festival centered around strawberries, the representative agricultural product of the Samnye area, integrating production, distribution, experience, and tourism, aimed at increasing local farmers' income and revitalizing regional tourism. During the festival, activities such as strawberry harvesting experiences, sales of strawberry processed products and desserts, local food booths, community participation programs, performances, and side events are organized. It is designed to extend visitors' stay and encourage local consumption through various experiential content and cultural programs, promoting awareness of strawberries as a representative agricultural product of Samnye and strengthening the local brand image.
