About the festival

The joy of liberation is overshadowed by the indelible scars of forced mobilization and the pain of families longing for those who could not return. The Foundation for Supporting Victims of Forced Mobilization will hold an Eoulrimhaeng event titled '2026 Memorial Event for Victims of Forced Mobilization with Families and Citizens' where victims' families and ordinary citizens can participate together. As part of the event program, a stamp walking tour will start from Cheonggye Plaza and pass through historical sites related to the Japanese colonial period in the Gwanghwa area. Additionally, various programs such as an OX quiz on forced mobilization, stage performances, and experience booths will be conducted in the plaza. This event, which reflects on the sacrifices of victims of forced mobilization and comforts their families, is open for anyone, regardless of age or gender, to participate freely and enjoy at no cost.
