About the festival
The Korean Dream Han River Festival is a large-scale citizen participation event for unification culture held at the Han River in Seoul. This festival approaches the concept of unification not through ideological discussions but through art and culture, allowing citizens to participate and experience it directly. Various genres of content are prepared, including booth activities, music, performances, and fireworks shows, with emotional and creative programs at the center that can be enjoyed by both the younger and older generations. The organizing committee aims to make this event a turning point for a citizen-led unification movement rather than a one-time event. Since 2015, it has been held in various locations such as Seoul Sangam World Cup Stadium, Gukhoeuisa Hall Jandima, and Imjin Pavilion, and it plans to develop into a cultural platform to spread the consensus of the people of South Korea, having been held consecutively for the second time at the Han River under the name 'Korean Dream Han River Festival' on August 15, 2025. This festival is structured in a way that citizens participate as subjects rather than mere spectators, focusing on conveying the message of unification as an emotional experience in daily life.
