About the festival

The 5th Busan Seo-gu Medical Tourism Festival will be held on October 16 and 17 at Songdo Ocean Park, co-hosted by Seo-gu, Busan National University Hospital, Dong-A University Hospital, Kosin University Gospel Hospital, and Samyook Busan Hospital. This festival aims to widely promote Seo-gu, the first 'Medical Tourism Special Zone' in Busan and Ulsan, while also establishing a foundation for attracting foreign patients through 'business consultations and buyer fam tours', and providing residents and tourists with accurate health information and various medical experience opportunities. This year, over 60 booths will offer health-related consultations, exhibitions, promotions, and experiential events. Co-hosting hospitals, health centers, and various medical-related institutions will participate to provide visitors with diverse health services and information, including physical examinations, stress diagnoses, traditional Korean medicine treatments, and proper medication consultations. Additionally, in collaboration with Busan Technopark, a 'Medical and Healthcare Industry Promotion Hall' will be operated to focus on promoting Seo-gu's core projects in medical R&D, incubators, local industry, and medical demonstration projects, showcasing a variety of healthcare devices from innovative companies participating in the medical special zone. On-site wellness experience programs such as 'slow jogging', 'silent meditation yoga', 'crossfit', and 'jumping fitness' will be available for people of all ages to participate together, along with children's health playgrounds and family-oriented experience booths like 'Kids Doctor Experience Hall' and 'Airsports', providing abundant attractions and activities for the festival. As part of the side events, a 'Health Talk Concert' with a plastic surgeon from Kosin University Gospel Hospital, along with various activities such as 'children's magic and balloon shows' and large board games, will take place. The festival opening ceremony is scheduled for 3 PM on the 16th, and the opening celebration stage will feature 'An Seong-hoon' from 'Mr. Trot 2', along with the traditional Korean beatbox crew 'Raseuteuritkeu-Pavilion' and pop flute artist 'Seogabi', promising an exciting performance.
