About the festival
The 16th Firefly Insect Festival is an ecological culture festival that operates to experience the importance of ecological environments and the value of nature conservation, themed around fireflies and various insects. It is held at the lawn area of the Chungcheongbuk-do Agricultural Technology Center and consists of various programs such as firefly observation experiences, insect exhibitions and experience programs, ecological education, an industrial insect promotion center, and family participation experience events. The festival aims to enhance the understanding of insects and natural ecology for children and family visitors, and it is an event promoted to revitalize the local insect industry and agricultural and environmental education. Additionally, it operates as a nature-friendly cultural event linked to nighttime firefly viewing and contributes to the revitalization of the local economy.
