About the festival
The 14th Urban-Rural Exchange Day Commemoration 2026 Rural Travel Festival is an event aimed at providing city residents with the opportunity to directly experience the value and charm of rural areas, and to promote rural areas as everyday travel destinations. This event is organized as an outdoor experience-focused event. The 2026 Rural Travel Festival will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 10 AM to 8 PM at Seoul Plaza, with the subtitle 'A Pause in a Busy Life, Seoul Countryside Staycation.' The event is hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and organized by the Korea Rural Community Corporation. The event will feature a policy promotion center by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and a promotional center for the 'Well-Chon' project, a representative information platform for rural tourism. The Korea Forest Service and the Rural Development Administration will also participate to introduce major resources related to rural tourism, such as healing farms, rural education farms, and the East-West Trail. Additionally, a 'Rural Tourism Youth Entrepreneur Promotion Center' will be operated to showcase unique rural travel products by young entrepreneurs, presenting rural tourism content infused with the sensibilities of the younger generation.
