About the festival
The Life Reading x Life Bookstore is a customized reading culture project operated by local bookstores across the country to promote reading culture by life cycle and to revitalize local bookstores. Under the slogan 'If you read, life becomes meaningful,' it operates various reading programs reflecting the characteristics of different life stages, from children to teenagers, adults, and seniors, creating a reading culture that connects books, people, and the community. This book fair features 36 local bookstores, including 22 life bookstores and 14 support bookstores, from a total of 200 life bookstores nationwide, introducing and selling unique books from each bookstore and showcasing life book curation recommended directly by bookstore owners. It is significant as a bookstore-centered book fair where local bookstores gather in one place to introduce their individuality and philosophy under the theme of life bookstores. Additionally, it has been organized to allow participants to directly experience the charm of local bookstores and diverse reading cultures through life cycle-based reading experience programs and reader participation content. In 2026, it will be held simultaneously in the Jeonju Nambu Market area in collaboration with Jeonju Book Fair, operating as a book culture festival where local bookstores, readers, and publishing professionals come together.
