About the festival
"Gamtanrodeu Yeohaenggachya!" is an experiential pop-up store where you can experience the attractive travel destinations of Taebaek, Samcheok, Yeongwol, and Jeongseon in a single gacha arcade. Escape from ordinary daily life and discover the excitement of new travel, and through the fun of drawing gacha, you can encounter the diverse tourism content of the Gangwon Pyegwangji-Station. The start of the pop-up store is the 'Experience Guide Zone' that introduces the Gamtanrodeu brand and how to participate. After that, in 'Gamtan Record', you can explore the past and present of the coal industry transition area and learn about the region's stories by solving quizzes about Gamtanrodeu. In the 'Gamtan Gallery', you can appreciate beautiful travel photos of Taebaek, Samcheok, Yeongwol, and Jeongseon, and directly vote for your favorite travel destination. 'Gamtan Color' is an interactive space where visitors can record their own Gamtan travel, filling the black walls with colorful messages, expressing how the past coal mining area transforms into a new travel destination. The joy of travel continues with 'Gamtan Gastronomy', leading to an even more special experience. This space allows you to meet local food from the four regions through a selection game. Finally, in the 'Goods Zone', visitors who complete all four missions can participate in a lucky draw, continuing the joy of travel through various prizes and goods. The Gamtanrodeu pop-up store is not just a simple tourism promotion space, but a place where you can directly experience travel through the processes of seeing, selecting, participating, and drawing. It is a place where the travel destinations and stories contained in the gacha, local food, and various missions connect into a single travel experience. The Gamtanrodeu pop-up store, held from August 14 to 16, 2026, in Seongsu-dong, is a special starting point for discovering new travel destinations in daily life and creating a desire to travel to the four regions.
