About the festival
Local Ground Yeonnam is a local cultural festival held in the alleys and local commercial districts of Yeonnam-dong. It connects the unique spaces, shops, and cultural content of Yeonnam-dong into a single festival, providing visitors with a new experience of walking, staying, and enjoying throughout the alleys. The festival features a variety of content such as flea markets, busking performances, experience programs, and events, allowing local shops and visitors to naturally meet and communicate, going beyond just a viewing festival. In particular, it aims to create an urban alley festival that anyone can comfortably enjoy by combining the free and sensory atmosphere of Yeonnam-dong with the picnic culture formed around the Gyeongui Line Forest Trail. Through this, it provides visitors with the opportunity to discover new charms of Yeonnam-dong and creates touchpoints that lead to new visits and consumption for local shops. The event aims to promote the differentiated local culture of Yeonnam-dong and add new vitality to the alley commercial district through a festival that harmonizes local spaces, people, commerce, and culture.
