About the festival
The 2026 Jinan Plateau Forest Festival is a forest culture event held from October 10 to 11, 2026, at the National Jinan Plateau Forest Healing Center. It is hosted by the Korea Forest Service, Jeonbukteukbyeoljachi-do, and Jinan-gun, with the National Jinan Plateau Forest Healing Center and Jeonbukteukbyeoljachi-do Cultural Foundation as the organizers. The program consists of a non-competitive trail running event with 16K and 6K categories. The 16K course is 16.9 km long, with a cumulative elevation gain of over 1,071 m and a time limit of 6 hours. The 6K course is 6 km long, with a cumulative elevation gain of over 315 m and a time limit of 3 hours. Participants will engage in trail running along with forest healing, forest culture experiences, local markets, and experience programs. The planned scale of participation is 500 people each day.
