About the festival
On a train heading towards the Yeshan Tombs in Xi'an, China, Sang-gon is filled with anticipation about the underground palace of Qin Shi Huang and the countless Terracotta Warriors he is about to encounter. As Sang-gon recalls the image of Qin Shi Huang, who desired eternity within his finite life, and the things he has 'never fully possessed' in his own life, the train arrives in Xi'an. A Korean person with a Chinese mother, someone who has never fully received love in return. What is Sang-gon's desire for life in front of Qin Shi Huang's immortal ambition? Having lived his whole life on the 'periphery', Sang-gon stands before the greatest story and sees himself. In front of that immense desire, he finally looks into his own story.
