About the festival
The 2026 Seoul Animal Happiness Festa is an interactive festival that celebrates the Day of Animal Protection in Seoul, sharing a culture of coexistence between humans and animals with citizens. It will be held from October 17 to 18 in front of the Water Stage at Yeouido Hangang Park, featuring various programs that can be enjoyed not only by pet owners but also by non-pet owners and families. Activities include the 'Animal Happiness Run' where pets and their owners walk along the Han River, 'Seolchae-hyeon's Pet Talk Live' discussing daily concerns with pets, the 'Second Life Celebration Contest' where special stories of adopted dogs and their owners are shared, and the 'Pimki Red Carpet Adoption Event' introducing animals waiting for new families. Additionally, there will be a 'Animal Protection PLAY Zone' where various animal welfare issues related to wildlife, farm animals, laboratory animals, service animals, and exhibition animals can be experienced through games and missions, along with diverse on-site programs such as behavior and health consultations, animal registration, a campaign for adopting abandoned animals, a pet culture OX quiz, and photo zones. This citizen-participatory animal culture festival will unfold, allowing participants to take a step further in their love for animals and experience ways for humans and animals to live happily together in an easy and enjoyable manner.
