2026 Namsan Night Trekking “Banjjakbanjjak Namsanbamgil”

About the festival

A non-competitive nighttime trekking event where participants enjoy the forest and night views of Namsan, one of Seoul’s signature nighttime attractions. Participants travel approximately 3 km from Namsangol Hanok Village to Namsan Tower via the Namsan Connecting Walkway and Namsan Park Road. The small lights from participants’ glow-in-the-dark wristbands and glow-in-the-dark phone grips form a trail along Namsan’s nighttime paths, creating a scene reminiscent of moving fireflies. Each session has approximately 700 participants, divided into seven groups of 100. After warm-up exercises and safety training, the groups set off in sequence. Upon reaching Palgak Pavilion, each group takes a commemorative photo before dispersing.
