About the festival
The 2026 Gwanghui Road Festa is a glocal food and culture festival held around Eulji-ro 42-gil and 44-gil in Jung-gu, Seoul. It takes place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event celebrates the food and cultures of five countries: Korea, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Russia, and Georgia. Under the theme “A Culinary Silk Road in Downtown Seoul, Experiencing the Flavors and Cultures of Five Countries,” this street festival connects local businesses in the Eulji-ro area with the food cultures of diverse countries. The venue will feature food stalls and outdoor dining areas where visitors can enjoy food purchased from local shops, creating a lively outdoor dining atmosphere. Key programs include complimentary gourmet lunch boxes featuring five countries, a glocal-themed photo zone, walking tours of the local business district, limited-edition merchandise and prize giveaways, and interactive on-site events with character performers. In particular, 12 immersive character performers are scheduled to interact with visitors as part of the street program, and plans also include giving sponsored products to winners of on-site events. The 2026 Gwanghui Road Festa is designed to connect Eulji-ro businesses with visitors through food and cultural experiences, and to let people experience the culinary cultures of diverse countries in downtown Seoul.
