About the festival
*The food content of the Hagi Festival site is based on the previous year's (2025) festival content, and the content for the 2026 festival is currently being updated.* The Gimje Horizon Festival, designated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as the only honorary cultural tourism festival in South Korea that focuses on traditional agricultural culture, is held around the Byeokgolje, the country's largest irrigation facility.· Set against the vast golden fields and horizon, it features various attractions including the first nationwide presidential cup agricultural music competition, as well as programs where visitors can directly experience various agricultural cultures such as cooking rice in a traditional pot, catching grasshoppers, harvesting rice, and threshing. Additionally, traditional folk events such as the Ssangyong play based on the legend of Byeokgolje and the stone tug-of-war wishing for a good harvest can also be directly participated in, adding to the joy of the festival.
